Pulp & Paper Research and Technology Network
Founded on 15 December 1994, the Network brings together about
twenty research centres from both public and private sectors, under
the leadership of the IPE.
Every year these centres exchange information about the scientific
environment in which they work, inventories of human and material
resources, as well as current and completed projects.
The Network accepts suggestions leading to the establishment of
general lines of interest, thereby enabling joint research projects
to be undertaken.
The aim of this Network is to cash in on the Spanish research potential
within the Pulp & Paper sector as well as boosting the transfer
of results and adding greater efficiency and enhancement to the
Spanish paper industry.
The Network is mainly aimed at:
- Monitoring activities in Latin America, in order to establish
collaboration with other networks.
- Maintaining an inventory of equipment in order to detect
what new equipment is required and enabling existing items to be
shared.
- Overseeing draft contracts between research centres and
businesses.
- Updating information about R&D requirements within
the Pulp & Paper sector.
The centres that take part in the Network
are:
- Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas
