 Training

At the IPE, we assume that both our member companies and their technical staff need to be aware of the challenges that the rapidly-evolving market and competition places on them.

At the IPE, we offer continuous, practical training applicable to the specific areas and functions of the paper industry which allows for all new knowledge acquired thereby to be immediately applied at the mill.

IPE's Training department:

  • provides technicians from the sector with complimentary training over and above the basic training they already have in matters specifically concerning the pulp, paper and board industry.
  • adapts suitable training programs developed by European or American agencies specifically to the Spanish industry.
  • adapts training programs to concrete requirements as defined by certain companies or for certain specific jobs.
  • constantly searches for companies and experts on specific matters to collaborate in our training program.

The IPE Training Programme is currently made up of the following yearly activities:

  • 2 x in-house courses lasting 2½ days
  • 1 x in-house course lasting 5 days.
  • 2-3 open courses, lasting between 1 and 2 days each.
  • 3 x half-day technical seminars.
  • 1 x international technical conference or meeting.

Teaching model:

The courses are based on a one-off teaching model which develops each subject by following the paper "production line".

The teachers are at the same time active professionals - technologists and executives of great worth with wide-ranging experience in the paper sector.

Each training session has a formal part which consists of watching videos and practical case-studies, backed by multimedia presentations and support documents, as well as visits to mill or laboratory facilities.

In some cases, the price includes accommodation and full board. A Certificate of Attendance is given.
